Samsung is gearing up to introduce its new Galaxy S24 series, which includes the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra. Notably, the Ultra model will exclusively feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a departure from Samsung’s usual practice of offering both Snapdragon and Exynos versions.
Galaxy S24 and S24+
The Galaxy S24 will come with an FHD panel, while the S24+ will feature a QHD panel. Both models will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 SoC.
The S24 will be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, supporting 25W charging. On the other hand, the S24+ will have a larger 4,900mAh cell with support for 45W charging.
In terms of camera capabilities, both models will feature a triple camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP sensor, and a 10MP sensor.
Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will stand out with its QHD+ flat panel and a sturdy titanium frame. It will exclusively feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, eliminating the Exynos variant that was available in previous models.
The Ultra model will house a 5,000mAh battery, supporting a 45W setup for fast charging.
The camera setup is where the Ultra model truly shines, with a quad-camera arrangement that includes a whopping 200MP primary sensor, a 12MP sensor, a 50MP sensor, and a 10MP sensor.
The decision to equip the Galaxy S24 Ultra exclusively with the Snapdragon SoC could be a strategic move by Samsung to leverage the high-performance and power efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Samsung has yet to officially announce the release dates for the Galaxy S24 series. Stay tuned for more updates on these highly anticipated devices.
