The Google Pixel 8 series appears to be ready to offer compelling hardware at competitive prices, according to leaked information. The Pixel 8 is reported to start at $699 for the 8GB/128GB configuration, while the Pixel 8 Pro is priced at $899 for the 12GB/128GB version.
Using the exchange rate and Google’s past pricing strategies as a guide, the Indian pricing for the Pixel 8 could be around ₹69,999 and the Pixel 8 Pro around ₹84,999. These are estimates and may differ when officially announced.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 8 is said to feature a 6.17-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly house a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP secondary lens, with an 11MP selfie camera. Powering the device will be Google’s own Tensor G3 chip, and it will run on a 4,500mAh battery with a 24W charging setup.
As for the more premium Pixel 8 Pro, it’s expected to have a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup seems more robust with 50MP, 64MP, and 48MP (Telephoto) lenses. It will also feature an 11MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it will run on Android 14 and the Tensor G3 chip, supported by a 5,000mAh battery and a 27W charging setup.
